On May 18, 2023, Lane Greene, author of the Johnson column in The Economist, will be the first speaker in the new series of talks held in NOVA FCSH, in Lisbon.
Lane Greene has recently written about the English language, translation, artificial intelligence, and other topics. He is responsible for the new edition of The Economist‘s style guide (to be published soon) and has two published books about the English language: You Are What You Speak and Talk on the Wild Side.
The lecture is titled English Usage in the 21st Century. Lane Greene will discuss with the NOVA FCSH community ideas about the current use of the English language.
The session is free and open to everyone on site.
